About This Experience

Backcountry skiing & riding is a lifetime pursuit filled with beauty, solitude, and adventure. Whether you're interested in learning to go "skinning" and skiing on low angle meadows or interested in making epic ski descents off peaks, getting away from the ski area and learning how to backcountry ski is a must! A private class is a great way to connect with friends, family, and riding partners. Taking a class with people you know and are comfortable with creates a more positive learning environment. It also creates better communication and decision-making when entering the backcountry with your skiing or riding partners. Eric Knoff, owner of Six Points Avalanche Education, will be the guide and instructor for this course. Eric is a AAA (American Avalanche Association) certified instructor involved in avalanche education for over 20 years. His strong professional background in avalanche forecasting and education, combined with his personal mountain experience, gives Eric a unique perspective on how to travel safely in the mountains.
