Helicopter Skiing

Sun Valley Heli Ski is the oldest helicopter ski operator in the lower 48 states, with over 50 years of experience and has exclusive helicopter access to a massive playground with spectacular terrain, covering three mountain ranges. 

Their 4-passenger A-Star B3e, the King of helicopters for helicopter skiing, provides an intimate guest-to-guide ratio of 4:1. It truly is your own private Idaho.

Join them for a full day of helicopter skiing and riding in the majestic Idaho backcountry. A full day of heli skiing and riding includes 6 runs per person.  Each run typically ranges from approximately 1,000 to 3,000 vertical feet of legendary Idaho powder. Lunch is included and is usually served in the field in a sunny and wind protected area.  A daily safety briefing is provided to the guests to familiarize them with the helicopter, terrain, equipment and other protocols.  The terrain accommodates intermediate and expert skiers and riders.
